EBHO’s 23rd Annual Affordable Housing Guidebook, 2019-2020
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS:
EBHO AFFORDABLE HOUSING GUIDEBOOK ARTICLES
Since 1997, EBHO has published the Affordable Housing Guidebook, a resource for advocates, developers, policymakers, people seeking housing, and anyone looking to take action for affordable housing in the East Bay. Along with highlighting the work and support of our members, the Guidebook tells the stories of residents living in affordable homes, community efforts to end displacement and expand affordable housing, and new and innovative policies to ensure equitable communities for generations to come.
Usually, EBHO staff and one or two member organizations help write the articles on EBHO and community efforts to advocate and organize for affordable housing. But this year, we again want our members – YOU – to join us in writing Guidebook articles about the affordable housing issues and campaigns that matter most to you and your community. EBHO staff will then select 1-3 articles to be written in full and published in our 2019 Affordable Housing Guidebook – your article will appear in over 3,000 printed copies and on our website!
If you would like to submit a proposal for a Guidebook article, please fill out the form below by Friday, January 4, 2019. You do not need to have fully written the article yet, but you do need to provide:
LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
You must be a member of EBHO – either individually or through an organization you are affiliated with – to submit an article abstract.
We will inform you if your article idea has been selected for the Guidebook by January 4, 2019. If your article idea is chosen, we will ask you to submit and complete a draft by January 19, 2019. We are looking for one 2-page article of approximately 800-850 words, and 2 one-page article of 450 words, so please specify the length of article you plan to write. We strongly encourage you to contact Ronald Flannery with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org or 510-663-3830 ext. 323.
NOTE: This call for article abstracts is different than our resident profile and building profile submission forms. Please find forms for those Guidebook features at our website at www.EBHO.org.
