East Bay Housing Organizations is an affordable housing advocacy organization with over 400 members in the East Bay. Think of our membership as a consortium of East Bay residents dedicated to affordable housing — nonprofit developers, local governments, tenants unions, homeless advocacy organizations, and dozens of individuals interested in creating a just East Bay.
As a membership-based organization, EBHO relies on your input and expertise to plan and prioritize campaigns to advocate for affordable housing at the local, regional, and state levels. Upon joining EBHO, you are invited to our committee meetings, where you can learn from and collaborate with other housing justice organizers and vote on our priority campaigns. You have access to a broad network of hundreds of housing justice advocates, our staff capacity, and the nearly 40 years of institutional knowledge our members have built since EBHO's founding in 1984. You will also be kept in the loop about movement news.
By joining or renewing your membership today, you are joining the movement to create a just East Bay. Together, we can build a world where everyone has access to a safe and affordable home.
You can also join EBHO as an organization.
$5–$20 - Limited-Income Membership (Affordable Housing Residents, Students, Seniors, etc.) Use the "Other" option to enter an amount between $5 and $20.
$40 - Staff or Residents of Member Organizations
$60–$100 - Affordable Housing Professionals, Activists, and Supporters
$250 - Advocates who are able to pay a higher membership rate to fund housing justice work. Advocates employed in high-paying industries, or long-time homeowners with incomes higher than the area median income might consider if they are able to give at this level.
Together, we're working for an East Bay where everyone has an affordable home, rooted in a just, thriving community.
