Stable, Affordable Housing Now, and in the Future
CONTACT REPRESENTATIVE MARK DESAULNIER
Tell him why the next Congressional funding bill must include significant investments in stable, affordable housing.
For our community’s safety, for our health, for the wellbeing of residents in the East Bay, everyone must have a place to call home. Congress has shown that swift, ambitious action is possible. Our communities had an unmet needed for affordable housing funding and emergency rental assistance before COVID19. The next congressional funding package must include a significant investment in affordable housing and housing stability for our communities, through this crisis and into the future.
Representative Barbara Lee is introducing a bill to enact a nationwide eviction moratorium during the health emergency. Ask Rep. DeSaulnier to support it and push for rental and mortgage subsidies to keep residents housed when the moratoriums end.
Send him a message today and ask him to press for legislation that provides emergency funding to keep people housed and directly address the severe shortage of rental homes that are affordable and available to America's lowest-income households. Share with him why stable, affordable housing is so vital to you and the people in your community.
