Governor Newsom, Support AB 480 to Strengthen the SLA!
The Surplus Land Act (SLA) is a critical piece of legislation that ensures our public land is used for public good.
For nearly a decade, East Bay Housing Organizations has worked to strengthen the SLA to ensure we are using all of the resources at our disposal to build more affordable housing.
This year, EBHO is a proud co-sponsor of AB 480, a California bill that would close loopholes in the SLA and strengthen key provisions. AB 480 is a key step towards ensuring low-income Californians have stable housing opportunities.
UPDATE: AB 480 has passed! Please join us in writing a letter to Governor Newsom asking him to sign AB 480 today.
